Goodluck Jonathan Meets With APC Chairman, Adamu
Despite rejecting APC presidential ticket, former President, Goodluck Jonathan met with the ruling party chairman.
Newstellers Nigeria reports that Jonathan formally met with Abdullahi Adamu, the National Chairman of the APC in Abuja, reportedly to clarify some grey areas regarding his candidacy.
Details of the meeting which lasted between 9 pm and 10 pm in Adamu’s residence was not known, but it was in a bid to sort out some grey issues regarding Jonathan’s bid to fly the party’s presidential flag in 2023
Meanwhile, Jonathan, on Monday night via a statement signed by Ikechukwu Eze, his Media Adviser stated that his boss did not authorise anyone to purchase presidential form for him.
As campaign trails for the 2023 presidency, a Northern group on Monday afternoon purchased Presidential Nomination and Expression of Interest forms of the ruling APC in Jonathan’s name.
Jonathan is known to be a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and has not publicly declared he’s left the party.
