Landlord Sets House On Fire Over Wife’s Frustration

A landlord in the Eyenkorin community in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, has reportedly set his own house on fire due to frustration from his wife.

According to reports, the incident happened on Sunday.

Newstellers Nigeria learnt that it took the intervention of the men of the Kwara State Fire Service to put out the fire and stop it from spreading to other houses.

The Director of Kwara State Fire Service, Prince Falade Olumuyiwa, narrating what happened, said the prompt response of his men helped to eliminate the ravaging fire on time and also prevented it from escalating to other buildings.

He added, “According to the report, the man said he deliberately sprayed his own three-bedroom flat with petrol and then set it on fire due to his wife’s high frustration.”
